Charge+ bags 140 EV charging stations from three S’porean firms
The acquired chargers are located in 42 properties across Singapore.
Charge+ has acquired 140 public or shared EV chargers from three Singaporean companies, namely eChargz, Quickcharge, and PacCom.
The acquisitions bring Charge+’s charging points in Singapore to approximately 2,500. The acquired chargers are located in 42 properties, including condominiums and commercial buildings such as Esplanade.
Charge+ is working to comply with the requirements of the EV Charging Act of Singapore, which mandates that EV charging operators obtain a license to operate starting from 8 December.
Licensees will be required to maintain the service uptime of chargers in their network, purchase public liability insurance to cover their operations, and provide charging-related data to the Land Transport Authority (LTA).
"In line with our goal to be a major EV charging player in Singapore and Southeast Asia, Charge+ is pleased to expand our Singapore network through the acquisitions of EV chargers from three Singaporean companies. We are excited with extending our charging service to more properties while at the same time, sustain the quality and performance standards required under the EV Charging Act,” Goh Chee Kiong, CEO of Charge+ said.
