The construction is expected to be completed by 2029.
Koh Brothers Eco Engineering Limited (Koh Brothers Eco) subsidiary Koh Brothers Building & Civil Engineering Contractor (Pte.) Ltd. (KBCE) has secured a $313.9m contract from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) for the design and construction of the proposed multi-storey Lorong Halus Bus Depot.
The 54-month contract, commencing on 6 January 2025, is expected to be completed by 2029, it said in a bourse filing.
Under the contract, KBCE will be involved in the design, construction, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and completion of architectural, civil, and structural building services, mechanical and electrical services, electrical and mechanical systems and equipment, and bus depot equipment for the bus depot.
The Bus Depot will include the main depot building, which will have parking and associated operational facilities, and ancillary buildings.
Once completed, the four-storey main depot building will have a minimum parking capacity of 550 buses.
The main depot building will also incorporate admin facilities, workshop offices and facilities for technicians, operation areas, workshop bays, storages, and other key facilities.
KBCE will also be involved in road improvement works, including new roads, road widening or realignment, and signalised traffic intersections to facilitate vehicle movements to and from the Bus Depot.
“We remain steadfast in monitoring the progress and smooth execution of new and ongoing projects with an order book of approximately $899.7m,” said Paul Shin, CEO of Koh Brothers Eco.
The group’s order book is well-supported by ongoing projects, including a $77.6m contract from Sport Singapore, a $200.7m MEICA contract from PUB for the Tuas Water Reclamation Plant, and a $186m contract from the Housing & Development Board for the building of the Kallang Integrated Development with its joint venture partner, LBD Engineering Pte Ltd.
